THE INAUGURAL
JONATHAN BANKHEAD
SMASH CANCER TOURNAMENT

April 16-18, 2021

Please join us for the inaugural Jonathan Bankhead Memorial Smash Cancer Tennis Tournament to be held at the Rockbridge Club on April 16-18, 2021.  The tournament is in memory of Jonathan Bankhead, an avid tennis player and great friend of many in our club, who lost his 15 month battle against glioblastoma on January 20, 2020.  All proceeds from the tournament will go to the SCOA Cares Foundation, which provides financial assistance to cancer patients receiving treatment at the South Carolina Oncology Associates, the only comprehensive cancer treatment center in South Carolina.

You may play in one gender doubles and one mixed doubles event.

With the implementation of Serve Tennis and the new national tournament structure, mixed doubles cannot be included in "sanctioned" tournaments at this time. The NTRP gender doubles events for 3.0 and above are listed in one tournament page. Each mixed doubles and 2.5 doubles are listed  as separate tournaments. We apologize for the inconvenience.  The following link will take you to the various "tournaments".

You and your partner must register individually and then you must contact the Rockbridge Club to let them know who your partner is.  Please contact Brian Reeves to do this or with any trouble you may have registering (803 787-6141).

We are still accepting sponsorships and/or donations to SCOA Cares.  We are also raffling off some great items donated by Carolina Specialty Fitness, Athletes Arena, Todd and Moore and more!  To be a sponsor or make a donation, contact Brian (803-787-6141).
